About the Venue

All Lake Garda camps run out of Duotone Pro Center Torbole - one of the best-equipped wing and foil centers in Europe. Sitting at the northern tip of the lake, Torbole catches both the morning Peler and the afternoon Ora, giving us two reliable wind windows every day.

The Pro Center carries the full Duotone test range, so you can try the latest wings, boards, and foils during your camp at no extra charge. On the water, we coach from a dinghy support boat - real-time feedback while you ride, plus the safety net of a chase boat if conditions push you downwind.

Wind Conditions

Lake Garda's thermal system is famously consistent. The Peler blows from the north in the morning, typically filling in around sunrise and holding until late morning. By early afternoon, the Ora builds from the south as the land heats up, often delivering the strongest and steadiest wind of the day. This pattern gives us two distinct sessions with different conditions - lighter and gustier in the morning, stronger and more stable in the afternoon.

Daily Schedule Overview

Each camp day follows a proven structure: morning briefing and goal-setting, on-water coaching during the first wind window, midday video analysis over lunch, a second on-water session in the afternoon Ora, and an evening debrief to lock in what you learned. The exact timing flexes with the wind, but you can count on a full day of structured progression.

Lake Garda FAQs

Which camp should I choose?

If you are still building your foundations - waterstart, upwind riding, first transitions - go with the All Levels Camp (July or August). If you are already jumping and want to work on specific freestyle moves, the Freestyle Camp in mid-August is designed for you. Not sure? Send a quick message and we will figure it out together.

What does "all levels" mean?

You should be able to fly your foil in a stable stance and ride in both directions. From there, the camp covers everything from intermediate skills like transitions and toeside riding all the way up to first jumps. Complete beginners are not the right fit - but anyone from solid intermediate to advanced will get a lot out of it.

What's the Peler/Ora wind pattern?

Lake Garda runs on one of Europe's most reliable thermal systems. The Peler is a northerly wind that fills in during the morning hours - typically lighter and sometimes gusty, great for technical drills. The Ora is a southerly thermal that builds through the afternoon, often delivering steady 15-25 knots. Together they give us two distinct coaching windows per day.

Is accommodation included?

No, accommodation is not included in the camp price. Torbole and nearby Riva del Garda have plenty of options - from budget hostels to lakefront hotels. We will send you a list of recommended places once you book, including spots where past participants have stayed.

Can I rent gear?

Yes. Duotone Pro Center Torbole carries a full test range of wings, boards, and foils. You can use their demo gear during the camp. If you are thinking about buying new equipment, it is a perfect chance to try before you commit.

What if the weather doesn't cooperate?

Lake Garda's thermals are among the most reliable in Europe, but no spot is windproof. If we get a light day, we shift to theory sessions, video analysis, land-based technique work, and gear tuning. The schedule adapts to the conditions - we make the most of every day regardless.
