Tarifa Surfcenter Experience

A full week immersed in Tarifa's legendary wind - the wingfoil mecca of Europe.

The Experience

Tarifa is home to some of the most consistent wind in Europe. Two distinct systems - the easterly Levante and westerly Poniente - means there's almost always a session. This isn't a rigid boot camp. It's a flexible, immersive experience that adapts to conditions and your personal goals. Over 7 days, we'll have 5 full training days at Punta Paloma and Valdevaqueros.

Teaching Philosophy

The approach is built on understanding movement, not just copying it. After 20+ years of analyzing watersports technique through the Tricktionary series, every session follows a two-track method:

Technical track: Real-time feedback, video analysis, breaking down each movement into learnable steps. We identify what your body is actually doing vs what it needs to do - then bridge that gap systematically.

Mental track: Using NLP-based performance tools to address the patterns that hold you back. Fear, old habits from other sports, overthinking - these are real obstacles that technique coaching alone can't fix.

The goal is not to create dependency on a coach. It's to give you the understanding and tools to keep progressing on your own.

What You'll Work On

  • Flight stability
  • Transitions (tacks, jibes)
  • Trimming
  • Spot knowledge (Levante vs Poniente)
  • Trick progression (your personal wishlist)

Daily Structure

No fixed schedule - that's the point. Tarifa rewards flexibility.

  • Morning: check conditions, brief
  • Water time: 2-4 hours
  • Video review: analyze sessions
  • Group lunch
  • Free time: explore Tarifa, rest, optional evening session

Group Format

Small groups of 4-8 riders. Small enough for individual attention, big enough for group energy and shared learning. Every rider gets direct coaching time and personalized video feedback.

Who This Is For

Accommodation is not included. Recommendations range from campsites near the beach to apartments in Tarifa town. Get in touch and I'll share current suggestions based on your preferences and budget.

Can I rent gear?

Yes. You can arrange gear rental locally, or through Pro Gear Service in Tarifa for premium wingfoil equipment.

What's the daily routine?

Flexible around wind conditions. A typical day includes a morning briefing, 2-4 hours on the water, video review of the session, and group lunch. Evenings are free - explore Tarifa, rest, or take advantage of an optional evening session if conditions are good.

Is this a beginner course?
